Be Flexible

John 3:8 “The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”

The third thing about opportunities is, You Must Stay Flexible To Be Ready. Gal.5:25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” You and I must stay flexible to be ready. If you are not flexible you cannot keep in step with the Holy Spirit.

You have to be flexible to keep in step with the Holy Spirit because His ways are not our ways. Keeping in step with the Spirit is so important. Opportunities are like problems; they do not last long. Opportunities like problems, come to pass. Every problem you are going through is going to come to pass. You cannot now make a permanent decision based on a temporary situation. You are just going through a challenge; you are not going to die there. The opportunity has come but the opportunity is not going to stay there forever.

There is an opportunity to do something for God, just do it! This is why the Bible says, seek the Lord when He may be found. There is an opportunity to do something for God, if you postpone it, it is not going to be there forever. That is what God is saying. You cannot seek the Lord when you want to find Him. You seek Him when He may be found. When there is a window to serve God – you take it because that window is not going to be there forever. When you have energy, use your energy for God because you are not going to be young forever. You may be able to champion marathons for Jesus now, but a time will come when age will not permit you. It is just the truth, everyone will experience death, except rapture happens.

People miss opportunities for several reasons. The first is Inflexibility. People are not flexible enough, so they miss opportunities. God is prompting you to take a right turn, but you are insisting on going straight. After a while, He would stop. By the time you repent and come back to go that way, you would have missed the opportunity. Ask the children of Israel, God said they should enter the promised land, but they said they would not go. Then they realized this was God talking to them they went back to God but they had missed the window. They cried and begged but God said the window opens every forty years. Did they stop being God’s children? No! Does God love them less? No. In fact, God loved and cuddled them in the wilderness, He even gave them Manna. Busyness, some of us are too busy. You can never be too busy to hear God.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I yield myself to You, keep me in step with You, in Jesus Name. Amen!
