Sincerely Yours

1 Sam.18:1&3 “After David had finished talking with Saul, he met Jonathan, the king’s son. There was an immediate bond between them, for Jonathan loved David… And Jonathan made a solemn pact with David, because he loved him as he loved himself.”

When Jonathan met David, he saw someone that will put his life on the line for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven. You can say, he found in David a soul mate – much more than what the phrase ‘soul mate’ has come to mean Read the rest of this entry

The Charge

Matt. 28:18 (NKJV)  And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

This was the charge Jesus gave the disciples after His resurrection. Then Jesus says, Read the rest of this entry

God’s Elect

Jer. 1:10 (VOICE) “This very day I appointed you to speak with My authority over nations and kingdoms. Your word—My word—will have the power to uproot and stamp out; it will destroy and upend. And then your word—My word—will rebuild and plant anew”

Moses was the man that went to the mountain top and saw God face to face and when he came down people could not even look at him. Moses was the man that got the Ten Commandments directly from God. Moses was the person that lifted up his rod and the Red Sea parted. Moses was the one that brought frogs upon Egypt and many other plagues. Read the rest of this entry

Heirs

Ex.17: 8 While the Israelites were camped at Rephidim, soldiers of Amalek came and attacked them” [with emphasis]

The first thing that stands out in the story of the children of Israel from Exodus 17:8-13 [please read], is that the Power to Prevail is released when You Become. The Israelites were God’s people; they had the seed of God in them. 1Jn.5:4 “for everyone born of God overcomes the world…” [NIV]. The power to prevail is released when the seed of God is formed in you. The power to prevail is released when you become a child of God. You cannot prevail against the world except you are born of God.

On Track

1 Tim.5:22 [GW] “Don’t be in a hurry to place your hands on anyone [to ordain him]. Don’t participate in the sin of others. Keep yourself morally pure”

The King James Version for 1Timothy 5:22 reads, “Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be a partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure”. The question to those who are thinking of going into a business is, is the person you are about to partner with worthy? It really does not matter if the person is your brother, or sister, or uncle, or your father. If you enter into a business deal with somebody that is unworthy, you are going to exit crying. In this life, worthiness is totally indispensable.  Sometimes, people complain that they Read the rest of this entry

Called vs. Chosen

2Pet.1:10 [KJV, emphasis added] “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall

What this Scripture is pointing out is that your calling is not sure. It is on shaky ground. The fact that God has a destiny for you does not mean you will fulfill it. I know that this is not popular devotional content and I know it is tough to take in. But if you can open your heart to what God is saying in this season, your life will change drastically.

You are favored but are you worthy? It is possible to be favoured and unworthy. So how do you make your calling sure? Simple; you Read the rest of this entry

Cost Of Favour

“For God said to Moses, “I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.” So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it.” Rom.9:15-16 [emphasis added]

You will not go very far if you think you have to deserve everything you get. For where God is taking you to, you are going to get things you do not deserve. So do not feel bad or become apologetic. Just thank God for His favour and for giving you what you do not deserve. If you wait to earn everything, you are going to be very slow in this life. God is saying to you, I am going to Read the rest of this entry

By Grace

“For God said to Moses, “I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.” So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it.” Rom.9:15-16 [emphasis added]

It is a very special season particularly because we are transitioning into a new year. I strongly believe that by the time we have transitioned into the New Year, God’s favour would have transformed our lives totally. What separates people from the pack is the favour of God and that favour will rest immensely on you. As believers, we are products of grace. Grace is so Read the rest of this entry

God Came For Us

“But the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people .  The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today” Luke 2:10-11[emphasis added].

Since Christmas is about good news, what then is the good news about Christmas? Is the good news the supernatural birth by a virgin? Or is the good news the fact that there is a lot of feasting in this season? Or is the good news the gifts you have received or are about to receive? What is the good news about Christmas? I will illustrate this with a story. I went to a boarding school in Read the rest of this entry

Be Prepared

“…in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor…, and Herod being tetrarch…, and his brother Philip tetrarch…, Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness” Luke 3:1-2

The angel appeared to the shepherds [Luke 2:8-14 please read]. God wants you and I to know that the lack of spiritual status does not disqualify anyone from a spiritual experience or privilege. You cannot say that because you are not a pastor then you cannot find God or hear God. These men were shepherds; they were ordinary people with no status. In fact, in that culture they Read the rest of this entry
