Close Enough

Isaiah 30:21 “Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.”

For someone to speak into your ears, the person has to be close to you. And if the person is speaking into your ear, most likely, he or she will not be shouting. God whispers because He is always close. God is closer and more intimate than you think. Read the rest of this entry

Isaiah 43:4 “You are precious to me, and I have given you a special place of honour. I love you. That’s why I am willing to trade others, to give up whole nations, to save your life.” (ERV)

Mark 8:22-26When they arrived at Bethsaida, some people brought a blind man to Jesus, and they begged him to touch the man and heal him. Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village. Then, spitting on the man’s eyes, he laid his hands on him and asked, “Can you see anything now?” The man looked around. “Yes,” he said, “I see people, but I can’t see them very clearly. Ex.15:11 “Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” (KJV).

1 Kings 18 [please read] is the story of Elijah and the prophets of Baal. Elijah challenged them to a contest of gods on Mount Carmel. He said, ‘the God, that answers by fire let him be God’. On Assignment

Acts 16:27-28The jailer woke up to see the prison doors wide open. He assumed the prisoners had escaped, so he drew his sword to kill himself. But Paul shouted to him, “Stop! Don’t kill yourself! We are all here!

Heard, Seen, and Touched

1 John 1:1 “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life” (NKJV).

The Exchange III

Isa.61:3 “To all who mourn in Zion, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, oil of joy instead of mourning, a garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” (NLT & NIV]

God is trading His beauty for our ashes and He is doing it in every area. We are going from barrenness to Fruitfulness, from sorrow to Joy, from bondage to Freedom, from loss to Recovery, from death to Life, from poverty to Wealth, and from shame to Honour. Read the rest of this entry

Source Dependent II

1 Chro.4:10 (VOICE) “He asked the God of Israel, “Please bless me and extend my territory. Let Your hand be with me and guard me from harm so I will not experience pain as my mother did.” And God did just that.”
