Proverbs 4:2-4 “for I am giving you good guidance. Don’t turn away from my instructions. For I, too, was once my father’s son, tenderly loved as my mother’s only child. My father taught me, “Take my words to heart. Follow my commands, and you will live.”

Pressure Cooker!

2 Samuel 22:33 “God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.”

We will pick up from where we left off yesterday and that is in James 1:2-4 Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colours. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” (MSG). Read the rest of this entry

Pay It Forward

2 Timothy 2:2 “You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.” (emphasis added).

Today’s anchor scripture highlights four generations. Paul says the things I have taught you, Timothy, you need to entrust to other people, teach and coach them so that they would be able to pass it on to the next generation. Everyone is supposed to have a four generational influence at the least, Read the rest of this entry

Expressions

1 Kings 9:3 “And God said to him, “I’ve listened to and received all your prayers, your ever-so-passionate prayers.” (MSG).

Passionate Plea

Daniel 9:2-3 “I found out from studying the writings of the prophets that the Lord had said to Jeremiah, “Jerusalem will lie in ruins for 70 years.” Then, to show my sorrow… I confessed my sins and earnestly prayed to the Lord my God” (CEV)

I have told you several stories of how I saw things that totally changed my life in the scriptures. and till today they still are that powerful. So, what did Daniel read in the book of Jeremiah? This is so beautiful. Contained in Jeremiah’s ‘bestselling book’ , Jeremiah 29:10-12 This is what the Lord says: “You will be in Babylon for seventy years. But then I will come and do for you all the good things I have promised, and I will bring you home again. For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen.” (emphasis added). Read!

2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (KJV)

Daniel’s prayer started with God speaking to Daniel and Daniel getting to understand through God’s Word. When you read Daniel 9, you see that Daniel’s prayer started with God. For instance, you may be trusting God to be excellent in your business. Read the rest of this entry
