Righteous Stand

Prov.28:1 “The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.” (NIV, emphasis added)

Over the next few days, we are going to be taking bold steps in life. “The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion” does not mean there are no bold wicked people, and it does not mean there are no timid righteous people. Some people are wicked and are bold about it. Read the rest of this entry

In Prayer

1 Kings 17:1 “Now Elijah, who was from Tishbe in Gilead, told King Ahab, “As surely as the Lord, the God of Israel, lives—the God I serve—there will be no dew or rain during the next few years until I give the word!”

Jesus is not just pleading for mercy when it comes to us, Jesus is pleading for justice. It is unjust to punish the same sin twice; Jesus already received the full punishment for our sin on the cross of cavalry. John 16:7 “…I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counsellor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you].”  (AMP].

If you had the option of physically having Jesus with you everywhere you go, be your friend, solving your problems, and returning to the sender all the arrows fired at you. Or having the Holy Ghost with you, which will you choose? Most people will want Jesus with them physically. Read the rest of this entry

The Witness

John 7:45-46When the Temple guards returned without having arrested Jesus, the leading priests and Pharisees demanded, “Why didn’t you bring him in?” “We have never heard anyone speak like this!” the guards responded.”

In Person

John 1:14 “The Word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us. We saw his glory, the glory which he received as the Father’s only Son.” (GNT).

If you have a good relationship with The Truth, you are righteous. If you have a right standing with God, you are righteous. Knowing the truth is not necessarily about being right and proving that others are wrong. You can know the truth and be wrong, but you still know the truth. Read the rest of this entry

The Exchange I

Job 42:5-6 “I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.”

Sometimes, because we cannot see very far, we tend to argue with God. We look at our lives and we question God’s heart and His goodness. Why did You not do this and why did You not answer that prayer. Read the rest of this entry
